Recommendations for Contact Centers

ContactRelief recommends suspending contact effective Friday, October 6th at 12:00 CDT with consumers in the following Louisiana parishes: Assumption, Iberia, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion.
ContactRelief recommends suspending contact effective Friday, October 6th at 12:00 CDT with consumers in the following Mississippi counties: Hancock, Harrison, Jackson.
For contact centers calling Mexico, ContactRelief recommends immediately suspending contact with consumers in the following Mexican states: Quintana Roo, Yucatan.
Tropical Storm Nate Update
The National Hurricane Center said in its 7 AM advisory that Tropical Storm Nate was located about 230 miles South-Southeast of Cozumel, Mexico moving North-NorthWest at 14 MPH. The storm is expected to strike the Yucatan Peninsula later this evening and then move into the Gulf Of Mexico. The current forecast shows the storm intensifying to hurricane strength by the time it makes landfall in Louisiana or Mississippi early Sunday morning. Hurricane Watches have been issued for much of the Louisiana and Mississippi coastlines. Tropical storm winds are possible in these areas as early as Saturday evening.
Hurricane Season is Not Over
We still have 56 days until the end of hurricane season (November 30th).
